Sunday's blog

In the gospels, one really gets to see the reactions of the savior when people would ask Jesus to heal them. Today, we constantly ask for God's help. He always gives us it. However, his reaction to our attitude is similar to those who asked Jesus to heal them. Read the gospels and find out which attitude your showing to God, so that you can better understand what he is thinking when you pray to him. Also, you can realize which attitude you need to have to gain a closer relationship with Him or to gain a blessing quicker from Him. You can really understand your standing with God using this method.

Electing to act

I have been thinking deeply about who I am going to vote for this coming election. The two primary candidates are very much choosing the most popular decision just to get votes. Because it is hard to decide from the views that they have, I plan on choosing America's president on what they have done and are doing to improve America.
Their words mean nothing. Also, citizens are voting for their actions. For example, the choice to make Gov. Palin was a smart move by President McCain to sway the media's attention off of Obama. Second, citizens need to look at how well candidates have kept their promises to the public. Last, Political parties should not determine who any individual will vote for. Since American's have at specific times specific needs, it is crucial to vote for an individual that will help with the most important need. Also, this coming year there is a definite recession, war, and terrorism. It is up to the voter to determine what is most important, and who will act to the needs of the nation.
This election year is very special. Never has there been such ethnic and gender diversity in an election year. It shows that America is stepping closer and closer to equality. Even if Obama does not win, at least he is placing America one step closer to destroying any form of inequality left after the civil rights that began years ago.
